Dr. Rima Patel

Rima B. Patel, DMD, MAGD

Dr. Patel grew up in Shelton, Connecticut and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Philosophy from Boston University. She attended University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. Upon getting her D.M.D. degree, she completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program at University of Missouri at Kansas City.

Dr. Patel is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Patel stays current with new technology and evolving dental care through continuing education courses. Because of her commitment to her profession, Dr. Patel was awarded her fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry in 2018 and her Masters in the Academy of General Dentistry is 2020. Only 2% of general dentists have received this honor. The Mastership Award is the highest honor available in the AGD and one of the most respected designations in the profession. This accomplishment meets the highest criteria for professional excellence. To accomplish this, Dr. Patel completed more than 1,100 hours of continuing dental education in the 16 disciplines of dentistry, including 400 hours dedicated to hands-on skills and techniques. As a recipient of this award, Dr. Patel has joined 2,208 members of the dental community who understand that great smiles and good oral health for their patients are the result of going above and beyond basic requirements.

Family is the most important part of Dr. Patel’s life and a great source of happiness. Dr. Patel is happily married and the mother of 2 beautiful daughters. In her spare time, Dr. Patel enjoys playing tennis, reading, traveling, and spending time with her family!

Dr. Thomas Marchman

Thomas Marchman, DMD

Dr. Thomas Marchman was born and raised in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Gainesville, Georgia. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Commerce from Mercer University, while also playing football for the Bears.

He then obtained his DMD degree from the Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University. There he was recognized for his dedication to excellence in dentistry by winning the Academy of General Dentistry Senior Student Award and was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Upsilon Phi, a service and leadership society. Dr. Marchman believes in providing comprehensive, patient-centered care. His goal is to create a comfortable and trusting environment for his patients so they can leave confident and cared for.

Dr. Marchman and his wife, Claire, have a son, and they are thrilled to be joining the Newnan community! When he’s not in the office, Dr. Marchman loves spending quality time with his family, watching football, baking in the kitchen, and hitting the golf course.
